Default AoE Chaos Mesmer

Build:

6+1 Fast Casting
8+3+1 Illusion
7+1 Domination
9+1 Insperation
8 Death Magic
7 Curses

5 Attributes, Yikes!

Skills:

Fevered Dreams {E}
Phantom Pain
Shatter Delusions
Enfeeble
Rotting Flesh
Ether Feast
Energy Tap
Rez Sig

The Build is Pretty Simple really, you begin by finding a target in a bunch of enemys, then:

Cast Fevered Dreams>Phantom Pain>Shatter Delusions on that enemy, you have now inflicted an AoE Deep Wound, if it is a melee/Ranger mob, use Enfeeble to mitigate some damage , and finally, use rotting flesh to keep some degen spread around

Its a Prototype Build, but so far its been pretty effective in most areas ive taken it, it compliments a B/P Group Wonderfully

So you are basically thinking of using Deep Wound in an area and then degen? AoE DW is a good PvE strategy I can tell you that much. Works well on bunched up monsters in combination with Shatter Hex and other spike AoEs. But normally it is done with Epidemic. I actually used to do this in Fissure with my Ranger buddies combining DW, Daze, Weakness, and Blindness on the melee mobs. Concussion Shot > Epidemic > Barrage is an all time favorite Shadow Monk/Mesmer groups killer. You might wanna try to max degen on the mobs. Best way to max degen AoE > desease + WoSuffering. I do feel FD is an overkill tho. Surely you can toss in a more useful elite?

The only thing I would watch out for is the disease on melee professions. Disease will affect you too.

disease won't spread from one type creature to another. and it will not spread back to the party, even if you cast it on a human pve foe.

all bets are of in pvp

mmm...I would add Epidemic in there too.

Consider this...
Fevered Dream is casted on A
Warrior use Sever Artery on B
(B and A are close together)
Epidemic on B to spread bleeding to A
A's Fevered Dream spread bleeding to all enemies in the area.

This works well for those uncoordinated PuGs
Not bad eh?
